About Topsector Logistiek
Since 2016, Topsector Logistics has been involved in Carbon Footprinting in transport and logistics. We develop methodologies for all logistics processes and transport modes. We will then convert these into practical tools for business. Our mission: competitive and emission-free logistics in the Netherlands by 2050. Our focus is on research, implementation and scale-up. In the Netherlands and the EU.
Intensive partnerships
In the various implementation programs, Topsector Logistics works intensively with companies, knowledge institutions and governments on innovations for competitive and emission-free logistics. This includes research, knowledge and tool development and scale-up. Topsector Logistics supported the realization of the following CO2 related projects:
- BigMile, CO2 accounting software
- Joint Corridors Off Road multimodal transport corridors
- Carbon Added Accounting, CO2 accounting methodology for supply chains
- Transport Performance Database, for benchmarking and reliable emissions data
- Measurement on vessels, real-time insight into emission performance of inland vessels
- CO2 meter, a quick, initial assessment of the CO2 footprint of logistics activities
Proven effective
All developments and innovations of Logistics Topsector are continuously tested in practice. Since 2020, more than 1,000 logistics companies have successfully used the Carbon Footprinting method.
